The MIT World Peace University, Pune, is organizing the 2nd National Teachers’ Congress in Pune from January 10-12, 2018.  The event is supported by the Government of Maharashtra. Several institutions of importance, viz, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), HBS Club of India and UNESCO Chair for Democracy, Peace, Human Rights, Tolerance, Pune, have also rendered their support to the event.

            National Teachers’ Congress (NTC) is an apolitical platform connecting spirited teaching fraternity through India’s largest convention of teachers from India and abroad. The 1st edition of NTC was held in September 2016 at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. The topics covered, inter alia, included - the Past, Present and future of Indian Education System; Indian values in Present Education System; Teacher, as an Educator, Facilitator, Inspirator: are we auditing?

             The following issues are likely to be deliberated upon during the 2nd edition of NTC – Globalization of Indian Education; Value-based University Education: Foundation for World Peace; Quality of Higher Education: Truth and Reconciliation; Use of Technology in Education – Impact Vs. Impediment; Educating the Educators; Funding of the Education. In addition to participation of eminent personalities in the field of education, over 1,000 teachers from India and Lecturers/Professors of Indian origin from foreign universities are expected to participate in the event. The event will provide a platform to the teaching fraternity to share their experiences and innovative ideas with their contemporaries in India.
