     Canadian Documents: All documents issued by Canadian authorities should be notarized and authenticated by the Ministry of Government Services, Ontario Government (address: 222 Jarvis Street, Main Floor, Toronto, M7A 0B6; Contact No: 416-325-8416) or the concerned Provincial authorities before submitting it to the Consulate for attestation

     Indian Documents : If the document (such as Birth, death, educational, marriage, divorce certificates) is issued by authorities in India it must be attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. However, for attestation of documents such as copy of Indian passport/PAN Card form there is no requirement to be attested from Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

Requirements:

1.  The Consulate will countersign the document attested by the above mentioned authorities. Attach original document which needs to be attested along with ONE copy for our records.

2. Duly filled in Miscellaneous application form duly filled in by the Director/Authorized Signatory (Click Here).

3. For Canadian nationals, attach copy of main pages of passport of the Director/Authorized Signatory of the company.

For Indian nationals, attach copy of PR card/work permit/study permit along with passport. Please note that in case your PR card is issued after 01.01.2015 a copy of landing paper is also required.

4.   Attach Driving License of the Director/Authorized Signatory.

Additional requirements for person other than the Director/Authorized Signatory of the company:

  1.  An authority letter on behalf of the company on its letterhead by the Director/Authorized Signatory is required in case it is submitted by anyone else other than the Director/Authorized Signatory of the company.

     2.      Attach copy of driving license of the authorized person.

Additional requirements if the applicant resides in area outside GTA and intends to apply by mail

1.         All the above requirements will follow.

2.         Enclose return prepaid envelope with your address and send the complete set of documents to Consular Section-Attestation, Consulate General of India, Suite 700, 365 Bloor Street East, Toronto, M4W3L4.

3.    Attach bank draft of the appropriate amount drawn in favor of "Consulate General of India”.

Fee : Attach bank draft of appropriate amount drawn in favor of "Consulate General of India". Please note that the fee of C$ 19 for Civil documents ( such as Passport, License, bank statement in name of person) and the fee of C$ 83 for commercial documents ( any documents in the name of company of commercial nature). The above mentioned fees is for one seal and signature, if you need seal and signature on 2 or more pages the fee applicable will be C$ 83 or C$ 19  x number of documents. Example: If you need seal and signature on two documents of commercial nature, fee applicable would be : C$ 83 x 2 = C$ 166.

If you are coming in person to Consulate, you can pay by debit card or Demand Draft. Cash, personal cheques or credit cards are not accepted.

Processing Time

In person : Same day delivery of attested documents between 1500-1600 hours

By mail : 3 (three) business days excluding the time taken in mail.
