Press Release on Liberalization of e-visa regime

            The e-tourist visa was introduced in September 2014. The Government of India has liberalised provisions of e-visa from time to time.  Now, a series of amendments in the fee structure of e-visa has been made by the Govenrnment of India. Important modifications  made are highlighted as under:

i)             A short duration e-visa for tourist, with one month validity with visa fee of USD 25 has been introduced;

ii)            During April-June, visa fee of USD 25 would be reduced to USD 10;

iii)           Validity of regular e-visa with fee of USD 80 has been increased from current permissible one year to five  years with multiple entry.

2.         Despite our regular efforts to increase awareness, applicants of Indian e-visa still falling prey to fake/unauthorised website.  All e-visa applicants are once again advised that  https://indianvisaonline.gov.in  is the only authorised website for grant of e-visa for India.
