DR. S. RADHAKRISHNAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-26

ICCR has announced scholarship slots (without airfare) under the Cultural Exchange Programme/Education Exchange Programme (A1206) at Indian Universities/Institutes for the academic year 2025-26.

Applications from international students are invited online through ICCR's A2A Scholarship Portal: https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in

The list of Universities/Institutes (UG/PG/PhD) for ICCR scholarship will be reflected in application Portal.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. It may be noted that for BE/B. Tech courses, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects are compulsory in 11 and 12 Grades, and it is a mandatory requirement for engineering courses. Equivalents for each i.e., level 10 and 10+2 equivalent level of school should be uploaded along with the transcripts in English. The application will not be considered if these are missing. It may also be noted that incomplete applications can be summarily rejected by Universities. Students should be advised to thoroughly check their applications and attach requisite documents before submission.

  2. The applicant's age for availing the scholarship is as under:
    - For Undergraduate/Postgraduate courses - between 18 to 40 Years (18 years as on date 01.07.2025).
    - For PhD Programmes - 50 Years Maximum.

  3. The admissions in Medical/Paramedical (Nursing/Physiotherapy/Anesthesia etc.), Fashion/Integrated courses such as BALLB (5 Years) / BSc & MSc (5 Years) etc. are not admissible.

  4. Please note that for science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars themselves.

  5. It is compulsory for all ICCR scholarship students to procure a medical insurance policy with a minimum sum assured for Indian Rupees Five Lakhs per annum, either before travel or immediately after reaching India, whichever is convenient. Students can purchase medical insurance from any of the insurance companies of their choice. However, to facilitate students, the Portal has two insurance companies for reference.

  6. Role of Scholars/Students - On Arrival of Student in India:

    a) Students are directed to report their arrival on the Gyan-Setu web application on an immediate basis.
    b) Students are required to coordinate with their respective Universities/Institutes regarding the updating of their details such as joining reports on the app.
    c) Submission & Verification of Documents/Confirmation of Admission – Students must submit the original documents and verify the details mentioned in the Portal during the admission process with their original documents including Passport, previous degree certificates, and country's unique identification number, in order to confirm the admission of students and get hostel accommodation as soon as the admission is confirmed.

  7. NOTE: If the details entered in the Portal do not match with the original documents, the admission of the said student will be CANCELLED.

The student shall obtain the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) equivalence if required. This would be stipulated by the concerned University/Institute in the Provisional Confirmation Letter (uploaded on the Portal). In case AIU equivalence is required, the student may apply for the same at https://evaluation.aiu.ac.in/student/login and bear the fees incurred for obtaining the certificate at own expense (non-reimbursable). After the confirmation of admission and subsequent allocation of scholarship by the Mission, the student shall register on SII Portal for obtaining Unique ID and further process including obtaining visa and registration with FRRO.

It is mandatory for students to provide an undertaking that the course and university allocated to them are acceptable, and they will not request any changes at the time of admission. Additionally, students must acknowledge and accept the terms, conditions, and guidelines of the ICCR scholarship as outlined in the Scholarship Manual 2024-25. This undertaking remains applicable even if the scholarship manual is updated later.
