Please note that there is different set of requirement for Pakistan Citizens and Person of Pakistan Origin
Pakistani Citizen (who choose to apply on Pakistani Passport)
Person of Pakistan Origin (A Canadian citizen who also holds/held Pakistani Passport or his/her Parent(s)/Grand parent(s) are/were Citizen of Pakistan)
The visa application procedure is as follows :
Pakistani Citizen :
- Please click on the link Sponsoship Certificate. The sponsor in India would have to download this Sponsorship Certificate and get it duly attested by one of the Indian authorities as mentioned in the Certificate. It should then be sent by fax/e-mail or post by the Sponsor in India to the applicant. The details contained in the Sponsorship Form will be used by the applicant to complete the online Visa Application Form.
- Fill in online visa application form at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/. Take a print out of the visa application, paste a photograph and put your signatures at the places marked on application at its first and the second page.
- If applicant is minor below 18 years of age attach parent's consent (form) and copy of birth certificate (detailed/long one) of the minor and main pages of parents' passport.
- Attach the Sponsorship Certificate.
- Attach a bank draft of C$ 6 drawn in favor of "Consulate General of India", Toronto.
- Arrange your application in order and place it in the passport before submission at the visa counter at the Consulate (7th Floor, 365 Bloor Street East, Toronto).
Person of Pakistani Origin :
- Fill in online visa application form at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/. Take a print out of the visa application, paste a photograph and put your signatures at the places marked on application at its first and the second page.
- One has to apply visa on Pakistani passport but if due to non availability of Pakistani passport, one has to apply on Canadian passport, in that case attach following document as proof that, one no longer holds Pakistani nationality (a) a certified copy of the renunciation certificate from Consulate General of Pakistan that one has renounced Pakistani citizenship (citizenship renounciation certificate) OR (b) a sworn-in affidavit duly attested by Pakistani Consulate stating that one no longer holds Pakistani citizenship.
- If applicant is minor below 18 years of age attach parent's consent(form) and copy of birth certificate (detailed/long one) of the minor and main pages of parents' passport.
- A fee of C$ 128 is to be paid through debit card/bank draft/money order. The bank draft should be payable in favour of "Consulate General of India".
- Arrange your application in order and place it in the passport before submission at the visa counter at the Consulate (7th Floor, 365 Bloor Street East, Toronto) between 1030-1100 hrs (Mon-Fri, except designated holidays)
Please Note :
- Processing time for visa application is minimum 7-9 weeks.
- The issuance of visa is subject to completion of all requisite procedures.
