Siddhartha Nath is a career diplomat who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2003. He has been posted in the Embassy of India in Beijing (2005-2009) and the Permanent Mission of India to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva (2013-16). Prior to his appointment as Consul General of India in Toronto, he served as India’s Deputy High Commissioner in Singapore (2020-June 2023).

At Headquarters in New Delhi, he has served in the United Nations (Political) Division (2005), as Desk Officer for Afghanistan and Iran (2009-2011), and in the National Security Council Secretariat in New Delhi (2011-2013). He served as Director in the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi (2017-2019) and then headed the Internal Finance Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (2019-20).

He has studied Economics at the Delhi School of Economics in India and Northwestern University in the US.
