Tourist Visa

A Tourist Visa is granted to a foreigner whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, causal visit to meet friends or relatives. Tourist visa is non-extendable and non-convertible. Change of purpose is not allowed.

Previously issued 10 year Tourist paper visa are currently not valid for travel to India. As and when the 10 year Tourist paper visas previously issued get reinstated the same will be notified.
Currently Regular Tourist visas are also not being issued from the Consulate. As and when the service is started the same will be notified. However, e-tourist visa can be applied for at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/

Processing Time : 3-5 business days after receipt of application in the Consulate.
