General Information - Attestation

Important Notice in respect of Postal Applications for Attestation Services

The Consulate has not appointed or authorized any other agency or individual agent to render any service on behalf of Consulate.
The Consulate reserves the right to reject attestation of documents the contents of which are objectionable or contrary to the Rules.
Please note that no document will be accepted through Agent or their courier servicve and consulate will not be responsible if it is misplaced. Legal action will be taken, if any person is found accepting documents on behalf of Consulate General of India.
No queries will be entertained for applications received through post before passage of one month since the day of arrival at the Consulate.

Please Note :

Attestation for Canadian Nationals : (Canadian or citizen of any other country) document to be attested has to be notarized and authenticated by the Ministry of Government Services, Ontario (address: 222 Jarvis Street, Main Floor, Toronto, M7A 0B6) or the concerned Provincial authorities before submitting it to the Consulate for attestation. The consulate will attest the seal and signature of the concerned Provincial authorities on the page attached by them with the POA.
